Vintage Vendome 1950s Swarovski Wisteria Pagoda Crystal Earrings

This listing is for a gorgeous and rare pair of vintage earrings by Vendome. Measuring 1" in diameter, the silver tone earrings have a floral design. What makes them so special are the Swarovski pagoda crystals in beautiful Wisteria. Swarovski produced pagoda crystals, also known as "potato chip crystals" due to their curved shape, but discontinued them soon after in the 1950s. The unique shape made them very fragile leading to high production costs. The Wisteria color, said to be among the rarest of the crystals, sparkles in lavender and blue. At the center is a heavily pronged AB stone. The adjustable screw clip backs are secure and very comfortable. There is a bit of wear to the reverse side of a few beads but it does not diminish their sparkle. Just beautiful.
